The Fourth of July is almost upon us and that means a day off to relax with friends, family, fireworks and lots of good food. If you don't have any barbecue plans yet, hit up these following spots to celebrate independence. Pig roast on the patio and a bluegrass jam will have you feeling patriotic on this most American of holidays. So what are you waiting for? On Saturday, July 6, Bill Kim will host a live cooking demonstration featuring recipes from the July issue of Food & Wine. The dishes include Lola’s Roast Chicken with Sambai Chimichurri; Spiced Shrimp with Tomato Salsa and Avocado; and Corn on the Cob with Curry Mayonnaise and Chile Salt. Afterwards, guests will be served the dishes family-style along with pitchers of Riesling sangria with lychees and iced tea. The cost is $50 and tickets can be purchased online.
