Tip-Off: Your March Madness Guide
1. The Fifty/50
Celebrate the Madness at The Fifty/50 with drink deals such as $4 Deschutes Brewery beers, $4 Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey shots and $100 Grey Goose bottles. For the Championship Game on April 8, domestic bottles will be $2.
2. Union Sushi + Barbeque Bar
Do something out of the ordinary with Duck Madness at Union Sushi + Barbeque Bar. Celebrate on Friday, April 5 with the second annual (Duck) Wing Eating Contest. Four contestants will be given 10 minutes to eat all the giant signature buffalo duck wings that they can. To enter, tweet the hashtag #duckwingmadness with an explanation of why you should be chosen. The winner will walk away with a $100 gift card to Union and a bottle of Mizubasho Reserve Sparkling Sake. Free cocktails and passed oysters will also be served from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
3. Roots Pizza
Good pizza, beer and big screens are all you need for March Madness and Roots delivers on all fronts. Stop in for $4 “Madness” shots that will be rotating house shots chosen daily. In addition, other drink specials include $3 Jameson shots and half off pitchers of all craft drafts for patrons who buy a large pizza for the National Championship Game on Monday, April 8.
Get the Madness started early as Moonshine will be opening at 11 a.m. every day of the tournament. Michigan State Spartan fans will feel right at home with the “Green Domination” themed bash and patrons can celebrate with 50% off thin crust pizzas, $3 Coors Light drafts or $10 pitchers.
5. Rockit Bar & Grill
Gear up for Rockit’s fourth annual Mac Madness during the week of March 18, featuring five unique varieties of the popular dish. The field of macs will include jerk chicken, oxtail gnocchi, lobster, wagon wheel, and Cajun mac. Try one or stop in every day of the week to try them all and crown your Mac Champion.
