Howells & Hood returns with its second annual Super Bowl Chili II Cook-Off. Chefs from DMK, Oak + Char, TETE Charcuterie, Tanta and the Radler will each make their own original offerings for guest to enjoy as part of a six-serving chili flight ($16). Guests will vote for their favorite, who will then be crowned Super Chili Bowl II Champion.
Mercat a la Planxa
The restaurant will offer its whole suckling pig for carry-out. The pig comes fresh from local farmers, is marinated in Catalan juices and spices for two days and can serve 10-12 people. Orders must be placed by Thursday, Jan. 29 by calling 312-765-0524.
For those who are hosting a Super Bowl party and don’t want to do any work, Frontier is offering smoked meat packages to go. Options include $550 whole pig with sides (serves 12-15), $65 smoked pork loin (10 lb; serves 30+), $325 porchetta (40 lb; serves 10-12), $35 boneless stuffed chicken (serves 4-5) and $90 boar shoulder (5 lb; serves 12-15). Orders must be placed by Friday, Jan. 30 and picked up on Feb. 1 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
From 5:30 p.m. to the end of the game, enjoy a bottomless bucket of Saganaki chicken wings for $18.

Tavern on Little Fort
Tavern on Little Fort will host a Chili Cook-Off beginning at 3 p.m. Entrants must bring a crock-pot of chili for judges to vote on. For $10, patrons can be a judge and enjoy chili samples, wings, sausage, dips, chips and veggies. Drink specials include $3 domestic bottles, $5 microbrew drafts, $4 well drinks and $4 Fireball shots. The winner of the cook-off will receive $200 cash, with 2nd place getting a grill set and 3rd place getting Coleman picnic chairs.
Honey Butter Fried Chicken
Treat your party to HBFC’s Super Bowl party Pack. Each order includes 20 pieces of fried chicken, corn muffin bread, fried chicken hero sandwich, 20 honey buffalo wings, pasta salad, roasted sweet potato salad and 10 chocolate toffee cocoa nib cookies. Shaw’s is adding southern flair to Super Bowl Sunday by hosting a Louisiana Crawfish Boil. For $30, diners will enjoy a one and a half pound platter featuring Louisiana Crawfish, Andouille Sausage, Potatoes and Corn on the Cob.
Stella Barra Pizzeria
Enjoy $1 drafts of PBR and $5 craft beer drafts all day long on game day. Those dining in who make a $25 minimum purchase while wearing their favorite team jersey after 5 p.m. will receive a $25 gift card to use on a future visit.
