Chicago's 2017 Michelin Stars, Mapped

Catch all the shooting stars

View as Map

Yesterday, the Michelin Guide revealed its 2017 star ratings for Chicago. 26 total Chicago restaurants gained Michelin stars this year — the most ever for the Windy City restaurant scene — which included four new entrants to the one-star category. There may not be a better time to be a fan of dining out in Chicago than this very moment, according to the Michelin Guide.

Here's a rundown of all of the restaurants on the list, in map form — now, it's easier to see how the choices are distributed across the city and which starred restaurants are in your neighborhood. Many of the starred restaurants are on the Near North or Near West Side, but more Michelin-rated restaurants than ever before are further to the north, northwest, and near south. Most Chicagoans don't have to travel far to partake in a Michelin-rated dining experience, as the map attests.

Note: Restaurants are listed based on star count, then alphabetically.
