Yesterday, the Michelin Guide revealed its 2017 star ratings for Chicago. 26 total Chicago restaurants gained Michelin stars this year — the most ever for the Windy City restaurant scene — which included four new entrants to the one-star category. There may not be a better time to be a fan of dining out in Chicago than this very moment, according to the Michelin Guide.

Many of the starred restaurants are on the Near North or Near West Side, but more Michelin-rated restaurants than ever before are further to the north, northwest, and near south. Most Chicagoans don't have to travel far to partake in a Michelin-rated dining experience, as the map attests.
