Au Cheval

Greasy spoon diner food never tasted this good. Soak up your hangover with brunch on the weekends featuring foie gras scrambled eggs, chilaquiles, fried bologna sandwich, and of course, the cheeseburger a cheval. You’ll almost feel like drinking is just an excuse to eat at Au Cheval.

Longman & Eagle

Start the day off with another drink if you dare before diving into the menu of hangover cures. Sandwiches like the Wild Boar Sloppy Joe and Pork Belly Cubano will soften the blow, as will comfort dishes including chicken & waffles and biscuits & gravy. And if you’re looking to repeat last night’s adventures? Well the PBR Breakfast with eggs, bacon or housemade sausage, potatoes and a can of PBR should do the trick.

If grease is the remedy, then BadHappy is the perfect spot for the day-after. Cheese curds, gravy and more piled high on top of fries will deliver a knockout punch to that hangover. There’s also a selection of specialty burgers available and if you want to keep the party going, it’s BYOB.

Pho 777

There are magical hangover-curing properties in the pho broth at Pho 777, or at least it feels that way. Even the meanest hangovers will succumb to a nice bowl of noodle soup, loaded with bean sprouts, cilantro, jalapenos, your choice of beef and more. By the time you get to the last sip, you’ll be ready for a new day.

Diner Grill

This 24-hour diner is home to two dishes that will cure even the worst hangovers. The Slinger is a monstrous creation with two burger patties, two sunnyside up eggs, cheese, hash browns and onions topped with chili and served with a side of toast. Those who manage to finish it will earn a certificate for their efforts. A lesser-known but equally delicious dish, the Dick Burger, is a burger loaded with grilled onions, bacon, fried egg and hash browns. It’s supposedly better in orders of two so you’ll have to bring your appetite for both dishes.

Over Easy

Nothing beats some eggs the next morning and Over Easy is just the spot to get them. Get your eggs any way you want, in styles such as Sassy Eggs (served over chorizo-potato hash with cheddar, red peppers, jalapenos, guacamole, sour cream and ancho ketchup) or a spicy tofu scramble. If you fancy something sweeter, there are also pancake and French toast selections on the menu.

Chicago Bagel Authority

The hangover cures are endless at Chicago Bagel Authority, where you can order a tasty steamed sandwich in almost every combination imaginable—veggie, chicken, tuna, roast beef, turkey, ham and much more. In addition, there are also breakfast creations along with salads and soups to remedy your ailment.
