The Barrelhouse Flat
The Barrelhouse Flat will celebrate St. Paddy’s Day but opening early at 11 a.m. on Saturday and feature a special menu for the day. Go wild with drinks like the Car Bomb, Shamrock Shake, Irish Coffee, and Bloody Mary (Leprechaun: In the Hood Edition). Soak it all up with some fried boxty and corned beef ($7), smoked whitefish crostine ($11), and a fish fry ($14).
Start the day off right with a full Irish breakfast and whiskey brunch punch. Options include fried egg, bangers, rashers, black and white pudding, wild mushrooms, roasted tomato and toasted Irish brown bread as well as sides such as oysters and Guinness mignonette and smoked wild Irish salmon. The Irish breakfast will be available a la carte for $24 per person.
Get out of bed early and into Public House for its annual Wake & Shake party from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Party goers will enjoy an open bar and breakfast bites including hot pastrami sliders, Irish banger flatbreads, poutinecups, and sausage, egg and cheese croissants. Drink specials will also be available throughout the day such as $3 Bud Light bottles, $5 22 oz. green beer chug mug pours, $5 Jameson shots and $8 car bombs. Purchase tickets to the event online.

Chef Patricio Sandoval puts an Irish twist on things with a special crispy corned beef taco with braised cabbage-potato slaw, cured onions and horseradish-habanero aioli. The special will be available all weekend from Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17 for $15.50 for an order of four tacos.
Watch the dyeing of the Chicago River at Bridge Bar’s ticketed breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. For $30 per person, enjoy scrambled eggs sausage, ham, corned beef hash, potatoes O’Brien, baked beans, buttermilk biscuits and two complimentary drinks. Stop in Saturday morning for a corned beef and eggs breakfast buffet from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Other St. Paddy’s Day specials include the signature corned beef hash ($7.77), the Pub Crawl Sandwich ($9.99) and the corned beef and cabbage dinner ($12.99). Diners will also receive a complimentary green beer with every special ordered.

Get a jump start on the day’s festivities with Jake Melnick’s Pre-Soak Breakfast on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The $5 breakfast features Guinness pancakes, corned beef brisket hash, and “green” pesto Portobello omelets with Irish cheddar. And wash it down with $5 green Schlitz brews all day long.

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Frasca will put an Irish twist on its menu with the Guinness Pizza ($13). Served exclusively on Sunday, March 17, the pie features a real Guinness stout crust topped with béchamel sauce, roasted onions, fingerling potatoes, bacon, three cheeses and an egg.
