Chicago Pride is back and better than ever. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City, one of the seminal events of the modern LGBTQ rights movement. Month-long festivities and the world-famous Pride parade will bring live music, drag shows, and rainbow-colored food and drink to restaurants and bars around the city to celebrate LGBTQ community and culture.

The parade takes place over a four-mile-route starting at noon on Sunday, June 29, at Montrose Avenue and Broadway Street in Uptown and ends near Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park. Much of the action is concentrated in Boystown, but there’s a variety of options available city-wide. Chicagoans can celebrate Pride at these 20 spots near the parade route and around the city.
