Where to Order Pies for Carryout and Delivery in Chicago

Order something sweet for the holidays

View as Map

Pie is wonderful for large gatherings, but the pandemic makes grand celebrations difficult. But fret not: fans understand that pies don’t need to be sliced for maximum enjoyment. Go ahead and binge if you must and take one for the team.

Still, as the 2020 holiday season commences, pies are a comforting sign of the season. It’s a rare foods that feels appropriate both in good times and in bad, a delicate work of craftsmanship that’s also homey and unpretentious. Bakers are still offering their sweet pies, ranging from classic and comforting to colorful and creative, for carryout, curbside pickup, and delivery. Hours and offerings are subject to change, so call ahead or check social media for the latest updates. Also check for holiday ordering deadlines and if pies have sold out. Favorites like Brown Sugar Bakery have already closed off orders.

As of October 30, Chicago restaurants can no longer serve customers indoors. Still, a number of Chicago restaurants have outdoor seating. The state now requires reservations for patio dining. The level of service offered is indicated on each map point. However, this should not be taken as endorsement for dining in, as there are still safety concerns: for updated information on coronavirus cases in your area, please visit the city of Chicago’s COVID-19 dashboard. Studies indicate that there is a lower exposure risk when outdoors, but the level of risk involved with patio dining is contingent on restaurants following strict social distancing and other safety guidelines.
