There’s still time to find a party to show off that perfect costume
Just in time for the new season, AceBounce is hosting its second annual Stranger Pings party. The night will take guests to a spooky UV Upside Down Land inspired by the Netflix series Stranger Things. Engage in some ping pong action on while enjoying a three-hour open bar and 80s-themed bites and tunes. The best dressed will win a $100 food and beverage voucher. Tickets start at $45.
2. Ada Street
Potterheads, prepare for a feast to remember. Ada St. will become the Great Hall at Hogwarts on October 28, 29, and 31 and serve a dazzling four-course dinner. Afterwards, head out to the patio for a game of Quidditch beer pong. Tickets are $75 per person and limited seating is still available online.
Step through the Portal of the Dead and enter the supernatural realm of Beetlejuice. The rooftop lounge is recreating the beloved horror comedy film with eerie décor, character appearances, themed bites and beverages, and live beats from DJs. Purchase tickets here.
4. Best Intentions
Have fun on Halloween and do it for a good cause. The Logan Square bar is hosting a Caribbean-themed Pirates for the Puerto Ricans party on October 30 that will raise money for hurricane relief. Activities will include a raffle giveaway, apple bobbing, a costume contest, and more. Entry is $40 and all proceeds will be donated to charities.
5. Chicago Athletic Association
Enter a Twilight Zone at Chicago Athletic Association’s Halloween blowout. The event will take over the entire 13th floor and blur the line between imagination and reality. Guests are invited to dance the night away with a live DJ performance at Cindy’s and discover “sensory-defying artistic expressions” in select suites. Tickets are $75.
6. Emporium Popups - House of the Dead
Hot on the heels of a successful Stranger Things-themed run, Emporium’s rotating pop-up venue has transformed into a House of the Dead. Stop in before November 4 and experience an immersive haunted house atmosphere with Halloween-inspired cocktails and beers. The bar will also throw a Night of the Dead costume party on October 31 in celebration of All Hallow’s Eve.
7. Fat Rice
Abe Conlon and the Fat Rice crew are going south for their Halloween festivities this year. Invoking the taste and spirit of New Orleans, the restaurant will host The Big Sl-Easy: All Hallow’s Eve Jazz Funeral. Diners can look forward to a prix fixe menu highlighting items such as spicy frog legs, gator gumbo, the-king-is-dead cake with bloody boudin, and more. The night will be set to a playlist of jazz and traditional zydeco, and seatings are at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The six-course dinner with drink pairings is priced at $125 per person, which is inclusive of tax and gratuity.
Eat, drink, and get weird at Freakmont. The freak show-themed night will be full of carnival-style food stations, games, live DJs, and a costume contest. Tickets start at $50.

Pick out your favorite pair of boots and saddle up for Frontier’s Wild West Halloween Party. Guests can participate in line dancing and a costume contest, and then feast on a whole smoked pig buffet, bonfire s’mores, an open bar package, and more. Tickets are $65.
10. Headquarters Beercade
The River North arcade bar will channel FX show American Horror Story in celebration of Halloween. The transformation will have burlesque performances, stilt walkers, sword swallowers, contortionists, acrobats, and balancing acts on the first floor to simulate a freak show. Upstairs, guests will find themselves in an asylum complete with padded walls, strait jackets, strap-in chairs, and insane patients. Cash prizes will be awarded for best costumes.
11. Joy District
Indulge that Halloween candy craving with a Willy Wonka-themed supper club on Friday, October 27. The whimsical evening will star an aerialist and Oompa Loompa performances alongside passed hors d’oeuvres, food stations, and premium bar service. Attendees can purchase a golden ticket online for $55 per person or $100 per couple.
12. Links Taproom
The craft beer and sausage hangout is turning itself into Links Country Club & Golf Bar from October 27 through October 31. The interior will be covered in AstroTurf to mimic a golf course and there will be mini golf holes and a golf cart on site. Specialty beers, cocktails, and foods that fit the theme are also planned.
Disco is dead but for one night, it’s coming back. Relive the glory of the ‘70s with a disco party on LondonHouse’s tri-level rooftop. Enjoy an open bar at LH21 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and come in your grooviest outfit for a chance to win a weekend stay at the hotel. Tickets are $50.
It won’t offer endless apps but Moneygun is donning the red and white stripes and becoming TGI Fridays on October 27-28. Guests will be able to nosh on loaded potato skins ($8) and “Whack” Daniels chicken wings ($10). They’ll be paired with bar’s takes on a Mudslide, Electric Lemonade, Appletini, and more.

Halloween is coming and the Conrad Chicago is inviting guests up to its rooftop for a Game of Thrones bash. Whether you’re a Lannister or a Stark, put on your best garb and get ready to be transported to Westoros. Veuve and Belvedere cocktails as well as $10 turkey legs will be offered, while the best costume will win a one night’s stay and dinner for two. Tickets are $25.
17. Replay Lincoln Park
Everybody’s favorite cartoon is taking over Replay Lincoln Park. The arcade bar is dressing up as Moe’s Tavern from The Simpsons so patrons can expect to imbibe beverages like a Flaming Moe and plenty of Duff Beer. Other cool touches include televisions broadcasting clips of Channel 6 newsman Kent Brockman, and a live Duffman impersonator. The pop-up will run through Halloween.
18. SPiN Chicago
Join the ping pong social club for Boos and Booze, a spook-tacular night of libations, specialty bites, dancing, live entertainment, and games. Entry includes four hours of open bar service in addition to a photo booth, prizes, and a costume contest. Tickets start at $50.
Zoe Schor’s New Americana restaurant will host a Zombie Prom with karaoke starting at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear their finest zombified formal attires and The Delta will also be on hand to serve tamales. Entry is $10 and includes a welcome punch and an evening of endless singing.
