In Chicago, there is something to do at nearly any hour, and it's important to know where one can eat. Some people work late, and most importantly, many people play late.

Whether you're a night owl burning the midnight oil or partygoer looking for a spot to take down that second meal of the night, know that Chicago has a variety of late-night eats that are cheap, delicious and available at any hour.

From tacos to hot dogs to breakfast food, you'll find well-liked mainstays and hole-in-the-walls to satisfy your late-night cravings — even while the popular late-night haunt Diner Grill is still recovering from a devastating Christmas Eve fire (it plans to reopen in March.) So stumble into any of these places at any hour and feel free to leave a comment if your favorite all-hours restaurant isn't on the map.
