Longman & Eagle
On Small Business Saturday (which is the Saturday between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, for those unsure) from 2 to 6 p.m., staple Chicago gastropub Longman & Eagle is discounting its Negroni variation, the Negroni di Aquilas, from $10 to $6.
Beginning November 23 at 4:30 p.m., Lincoln Park’s casual American eatery Gemini is offering a two-course ZooLights prix fixe for $36 (entrées typically cost between $24 to $36). Choose from soup of the day, Gemini salad, or prosciutto and burrata crostini to start, followed by lasagna bolognese, rainbow trout Provencal, or steak frites. The deal also comes with cookies and a hot drink like coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or hot apple cider.
Stella Barra Pizzeria
Lincoln Park Neapolitan-inspired pizzeria Stella Barra is getting in on the holiday savings. Drop in on Black Friday or Cyber Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. for $3 bottled and draft beers (regular price $5-8), $4 wine by the glass (regular price $10-11), $5 well drinks, $7 garlic and rosemary or spicy Calabrian chicken wings, and finally $8 Thin Sin pizzas, topped with either pecorino and romano, or arugula pesto and Parmesan (regular price $16).
Cafe Robey, inside Wicker Park’s sleek Robey Hotel, will serve a Thanksgiving leftovers sando from Black Friday through Cyber Monday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pop in for the $14 Leftover Monte Cristo sandwich, with pumpkin spice French toast, cranberry maple syrup, roasted turkey, gruyere cheese, and fried sage.
From November 21 to December 19, Wicker Park fixture Anker is giving 10 percent off to patrons who make a purchase at a neighboring business, and snag a receipt signed by an employee who works there.
Sportsman’s Club has a pretty epic offer. On Black Friday, from 5 p.m. to close, the Ukrainian Village drinking den is slashing prices on all Pappy Van Winkle whiskies, offering one ounce pours at up to 60 percent off the regular price.
Bernie's Lunch & Supper
River North Mediterranean number Bernie’s Lunch & Supper usually only serves brunch on weekends. But on Black Friday management will roll out brunch for all, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while also throwing in the option for bottomless mimosas for $15 (2 hour limit, all guests at the table must participate).
Broken Shaker at Freehand Chicago
On Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Miami export Broken Shaker at the Freehand will debut a bunch of happy hour specials from 4 to 6 p.m. Expect a $7 daily punch and cocktail option (normally $10), along with $5 draft beers and house wine. Then, from 5-6pm, guests can order the “happy hipster” deal for $14 (normally $22), which includes a burger, fries, plus Miller High Life.
Stan’s Donuts & Coffee
If a caffeine fix is needed on Black Friday, all 10 Stan’s locations will give out free 12-ounce cups of house blend or dark roast coffee (one per person) until noon. One any other day, the drink would cost $2.35.
Chef CJ Jacobson’s Middle Eastern/Israeli addition Ema is knocking back prices from 3 to 5 p.m. on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Hit up the lush River North eatery for $5 mezze plates (hummus, feta and olives), plus $5 craft beer and wine by the glass.
On Black Friday, River North Chinese eatery Imperial Lamian is offering 20 percent off its lunch menu, from 10 a.m. until noon. That includes dumplings, lamian, wok dishes, and more.
On Black Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., State Street gastropub Public House will offer $5 rotating drafts, $6 select cocktails and wine, plus tacos for $3 a pop.
The Fulton Market location of ramen slinger Ramen-san is offering a number of drink specials from 3 to 6 p.m. on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That includes $3 Asahi beers (typically $7), $5 margaritas (typically $11) and $7 old fashioneds (typically $16).
