1. Rockit Bar & Grill
Richard Roeper will team up with Rockit Ranch Productions to host the 2nd Annual Oscar Viewing Party at Rockit Bar & Grill. The event will benefit After School Matters, a non-profit organization that offers Chicago public high school teens quality afterschool activities and opportunities. In addition, guests will enjoy signature hors d’oeuvres such as Butternut Squash Soup Shots, Rockcorn Shrimp, BBQ Turkey Meatballs, Rockit Pockits, Parmesan Truffle Popcorn and Mini Black Angus Burgers, and cocktails from Santa Margherita. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online.
Nellcote is rolling out the orange carpet for its inaugural Orange Carpet Oscars Viewing Party & Social Media Bash. Have your pictures taken by paparazzi or in a photo booth while Kelly Ryan O’Brien of Chicago Blogger Network hosts live tweeting beginning at 5 p.m. Guests who predict the awards will win prizes and swag bags will be given to the first 200 attendees. The regular dinner menu will be available and Oscar-themed cocktails will be on special throughout the evening.
3. The Florentine
Be the star at The Florentine’s first annual Oscars Viewing Party, complete with “paparazzi” on hand to capture shots of guests arriving.
