Schwartz spent three years with Cantu and interviews key people in his life for "Instatiable: The Homaro Cantu Story."

The film's debut comes in the wake of news that Moto, Cantu's Michelin-starred restaurant, will close after Valentine's Day service. The Alinea Group, which previously took over Cantu's shuttered iNG for the upcoming Roister, have undetermined plans for the space. Cantu abruptly died in April.

Schwartz's film focuses on "a pivotal moment in his [Cantu's] career" and the story is described as one "that moves from redemption and inspiration to tragedy and back again." Former Chicago Tribune writer Mark Caro and former Moto general manager Trevor Rose-Hamblin are interviewed in the trailer, which can be viewed below. A premiere date for Chicago is unknown at this time. Stay tuned for more details.

Below, in Eater Chicago's Most Anticipated Openings of 2016, are some of the top ones to look forward to throughout the next 12 months.

Duck Duck Goat

Citing personal reasons, Bastien is relocating to Grand Rapids, Mich. to be closer to his family.

The Winchester is losing executive chef/partner Greg Bastien at the end of the year. Bastien, who opened the Ukrainian Village restaurant nearly two years ago, is relocating to Grand Rapids, Mich. in order to be closer to his family "due to personal reasons." His last day of service will be this Thursday, Dec. 31.

In a statement, Bastien states that he "sincerely appreciate(s) the opportunities and friendships" developed during his time at The Winchester, adding that he wishes everyone at the restaurant "the best of luck in continuing as strong as ever."

An electrical fire forced The Winchester to temporarily shutter for five weeks earlier this year. Through fundraisers, Bastien and owner Chris Pappas bounced back with a revamped menu, ending breakfast service in the process.

The restaurant, which plans to be closed Jan. 4 through 7, is currently talking to "several executive chefs" to take the outgoing chef's place. Expect an announcement on Bastien's replacement in the coming weeks.

After opening ten months ago, the owners have decided to sell the restaurant to concentrate on other properties.

The owners of Frank Meats Patty (Fatso's Last Stand, Lockdown Bar & Grill), in the former home of the legendary sausage temple Hot Doug's, have placed the business on the sales block after opening little more than ten months ago. @Properties is listing the business for $99,900 and owner David Jacobs says that they will remain open "contingent on a sale."

The reason for selling the restaurant less than a year after opening? "The short version of the story is that family and my other businesses took too much of my time and we lost some key people this year," Jacobs states in an e-mail. He praised the neighborhood and feels that "with more effort we know we would have been very successful," but that attention needed to be moved to the group's other projects.

Jacobs also denied that he and his business partners were working on a rumored project in the former Hot Diggity Dog space at 947 W. Wellington ("that is not related to us at all").

Doug Sohn operated Hot Doug's in the same location for 11 years. Keep an eye out for what the next owners have in store for the space.
