Highly Anticipated Randolph Row Indian restaurant to open next week
The modern Indian restaurant renaissance continues in Chicago with the debut of one of 2019’s most highly anticipated openings next week. Rooh, the San Francisco fine-dining import with fancy cocktails, truffled flatbread and fried chicken, will open in the two-floor space at 736 W. Randolph Street on May 23, management announced, and reservations are live via Resy. Stay tuned for more coverage.
Behold Stephanie Izard’s Cabra’s lunch and brunch menus
Stephanie Izard’s Peruvian rooftop hotspot Cabra now offers lunch and brunch service, and now the full menus are available for publication. Brunch highlights include black plantain waffles with chicharrón pork belly, pickled mango syrup, pork fat butter, and pickled mango; smoked salmon queso fresco dip with sweet potato flatbread; and a Pisco sour of the day. ‘Hot Doug’s: the Movie’ coming to digital and DVD next month
The documentary about the closing of the late legendary encased meats emporium Hot Doug’s will soon be available for purchase and streaming. The people behind Hot Doug’s: the Movie, which premiered in 2017, announced it’s coming to DVD, digital and video on demand on June 25. Expect more details to be revealed soon.
