The owners of Farmhouse, the Midwest-focused restaurant and tavern that debuted in 2011 in River North, will soon open a fourth Chicago spot. The second location of Farm Bar, the smaller iteration of the original that opened in 2015 in Lakeview, is slated to open this spring in Edgewater at 1133 W. Granville. Revival Social Club closed last year in the same space.
The restaurant will be a little bigger than the Lakeview location, according to a Craigslist help wanted ad. Ownership is planning to open in April. There’s another Farmhouse in suburban Evanston. Many of the ingredients for the three restaurants are sourced from the owners’ farm in Mineral Point, Wisconsin.
The bars and restaurants serve items including stellar cheese curds, burgers, and roasted chicken. The draft beers are from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The cocktails, such as their signature Old Fashioned, are heavy on the booze. They’re perfect for a harsh winter night. They also serve their own ciders.
Co-owner Ferdia Doherty wasn’t immediately reached for comment. Expect more details soon.
