Starbucks now delivers in Chicago
Chicagoans can now get Starbucks coffee, food, and more delivered. The behemoth coffee chain launched delivery this morning via UberEats, with a news release trumpeting that 95 percent of the menu is available including seasonal and customizable options. Chicago is the fourth American city with Starbucks delivery, following San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Miami; New York City and Washington, D.C. will get it soon.
Lakeview mainstay Southport & Irving is for lease
One of West Lakeview’s more popular restaurants is available for lease. A Craigslist ad is up for Southport & Irving, also known as SIP, priced at $8,000 per month. Management hasn’t responded to an inquiry by press time so there’s no word yet whether the restaurant at 4000 N. Southport Avenue might close or just change ownership. Stay tuned.
Edgewater favorite Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club reopens
Popular North Side daytime spot Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club reopened on Saturday morning, management announced on social media. The restaurant at 3348 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue had been closed since a fire on January 6 and temporarily relocated to Big Hill Restaurant up the street.
Shake Shack’s chicken nuggets are now available in Chicago
And finally, Shake Shack’s chick’n bites, which Eater New York critic Ryan Sutton anointed as “America’s next great fast food chicken nugget,” are now available in Chicago — and nationwide. The nuggets cost $4.19 for six and $6.19 for 10 and are served with barbecue or honey mustard sauce.
