River North goes from champagne to milkshakes at the end of month when JoJo’s Milk Bar opens to replace Coco Champagne Lounge. February 28 is opening date at 23 W. Hubbard Street, and JoJo’s will have those Instagram-friendly desserts including spiked and over-the-top shakes, cookies, ice cream popsicles, and more. The group behind Shore Club, the lakefront venue near North Avenue Beach, owns JoJo’s with chef/partner Christine McCabe (Interurban Boathouse) onboard.

McCabe’s also crafting savory options including griddled burgers, pot pie stuffed with chicken, and loaded waffle fries with sour cream, chives, and bacon, according to a news release. The space is whimsical, and along Hubbard Street, that means it’ll have a dessert called the “Gold Digger Shake” with caramel and chocolate.

The bar has nothing to do with Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar (which may eventually land in Chicago). This milk bar includes games, pop culture references, and more on two floors. Take a look around below.
