Group behind ever-popular Siena Tavern plans next Fulton Market restaurant
After opening two popular restaurants on Randolph Restaurant Row — Bar Siena and Bandit — DineAmic Hospitality now has its sights set a couple blocks north on Fulton Market. The group plans to open an unspecified 8,000-square-foot restaurant at 905 W. Fulton Market, Crain’s reports, which is part of a new development that will also include the global headquarters of international snack company Mondelez International. The only other detail that a rep can add at this point is that it’s slated to open in the third quarter of 2020, so stay tuned for more intel on the latest high-profile new restaurant in the area. Originally the rep said it would open in the first quarter, but later said that the company will release more details then.
New Portuguese and Spanish seafood hotspot Porto reveals full food menus
Porto — the new seafood hotspot that opened three days ago in West Town — is finally revealing its full food menus online. Two tasting menu options offer five courses for $70 and 10 courses for $125. Seasonal small and large a la carte dishes run from $8 to $61, starting with a Portuguese sausage, collards, and seaweed soup, and maxing out with the whole Spanish turbot that’s pictured here. River North tropical-themed haven starts brunch service
Flora Fauna, the new-ish tropical-themed restaurant and bar in River North, will start serving an intriguing brunch service this weekend. Items include build-your-own cocktails with different “flavor experiences,” three types of toasts, and a staff favorites section with a “Bahn Mi-LT.” Check out the menu below.
Heisler Hospitality donating partial drink sales proceeds to food depository all month
And finally, Chicago drinkers can imbibe at some of Chicago’s best bars and restaurants while supporting a great cause throughout December. Heisler Hospitality has brought back its “Cocktails For Good” campaign this month, which donates $2 of sales from a special drink at each of its establishments — Estereo, Lone Wolf, Bad Hunter, Revel Room, Pub Royale, Queen Mary, and Sportsman’s Club — to the Chicago Food Depository throughout December.
