Colectivo Coffee, the Wisconsin-based roaster and bake shop, has opened a third Chicago location. The chain’s 2,500-square-foot Andersonville coffee shop debuted this morning at 5425 N. Clark Street. Following up on openings in Lincoln Park and Logan Square, the new North Side coffee shop features new drinks such as a sparkling espresso and a cold brew with maple-flavored syrup, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
The chain arrived in Chicago in May 2017 after debuting 25 years ago — September is its birth month — in Milwaukee. They also bake pastries, distributing them to Chicago locations. The first two Chicago openings feature large outdoor areas. Andersonville has a sidewalk patio. Floor to ceiling windows swing out, and there are gargoyles — sculptures, not real ones.
Take a look at the cafe’s new menu here. Colectivo is also planning a suburban Evanston location. Block Club Chicago reported a Wicker Park location should open in the spring new Damen and Division.
Colectivo Andersonville, 5425 N. Clark Street, open 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
