New Gold Coast Restaurant & Bar Features a Lounge With Martini Pitchers

The owners of Gemini in Lincoln Park are taking their game to the Gold Coast with Walton Street Kitchen & Bar, a new American bistro inside the new No. 9 Walton luxury condo building. The project comes with a downstairs bar called Walton Street Lounge. It’s an 18-seat den featuring Scotch and a curated list of spirits. Patrons can even order pitchers of martins. Today’s opening day at 912 N. State Street.

Walton Street’s owners, Ryan and Anna O’Donnell, created Ballyhoo Hospitality in conjunction with the opening of the restaurant. They also co-own Coda Di Volpe, the North Side Italian spot. They hired 555 International to design Walton Street. The space features at 28-seat square bar and there’s a sliding ladder by the 30-foot-long by 10-foot-high wine storage cabinet.

Gemini chef Jon Keeley will serve items like hamachi crudo, roasted King Crab, and a rabbit duo with a mini pot pie and seared loin.

Walton Street Kitchen & Bar, 912 N. State Street, open 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday; 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; lounge opens at 4:30 p.m. daily.
