— Sad news for fans of classic Chicago-style dogs on the North Side, as longtime Lakeview hot dog stand Murphy’s Red Hots will shutter on August 18, according to a sign on the door. A new residential development is rumored to replace its building at 1211 W. Belmont Avenue. The stand has been around since the mid-’80s and is a member of the Vienna Beef Hall of Fame. — A new food festival kicks off today and lasts a whopping 18 days. Check out the schedule for Food Bowl, organized by the Tribune and inspired by a festival of the same name which began last year in LA, here.
— North Center will lose a popular vegetarian and vegan restaurant this fall. Delicious Cafe will shutter on September 22 after five years in business at 3827 N. Lincoln Ave., a Facebook post announced.
— Honey Butter Fried Chicken, the popular Avondale restaurant, is start its residency on Friday at Wrigley Field. They’ll serve baseball fans Friday through Wednesday as the Cubs take on Washington and Milwaukee as part of the Chef Series. The menu includes fried chicken strips with Honey Butter; fried chicken nachos; pimento mac & cheese; and a fried chicken sandwich with candied jalapeño mayo. They’re also serving a cocktail, the Cherry Hill Pop with Maker’s Mark, lemonade, and cherry syrup.

— Though reservations have been gone since last week, the three-day Rubirosa pizza pop-up will take a limited number of walk-ups from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Friday through Sunday at Pizzeria Bebu in Lincoln Park. Rubirosa is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant out of New York’s Nolita neighborhood. The pizzeria is known for its vodka variety and other Italian-American favorites.
