— City-dwelling fans of Ikea’s popular Swedish meatballs won’t have to travel to the suburbs for four days next week. That’s because the affordable European furniture chain will launch a pop-up in Bucktown named “The Ikea Inspiration Experience” from August 23 until 26 in Bucktown at 1714 N. Damen Avenue, Block Club reports, complete with a free meatball bar with dips. The only Ikea stores in Chicagoland are in Schaumburg and Bolingbrook in the western suburbs.

— Roscoe Village is finally getting a new beer bar and eatery in the Riverview Tavern space at Damen and Roscoe next week. The Reveler, from Last Call Tavern Group (The Butcher’s Tap, Celtic Crown Public House), will have a bar with 96 taps, wood-fired sandwiches, pizza, burgers, brunch, multiple private event spaces, and be family-friendly, according to a news release. It opens to the public on August 25 at 7 p.m. at 3403 N. Damen Avenue. Riverview Tavern closed in February. Check out The Reveler’s food menu below.

Clark Street and was expected to reopen in the forthcoming Addison and Clark development, but ownership now believe they can’t get a liquor license there and have filed a lawsuit against the developer, Crain’s reports. So the bar’s reopening is now in serious doubt.

— The opening of the wndr museum in the far West Loop, the highly-anticipated interactive exhibits which include interesting food experiences from former Moto chef Richie Farina such as “edible clouds,” has been pushed back more than a month due to construction issues. Originally slated to open tonight, its now slated to open September 21 and ticket holders aren’t happy, Block Club reports.

Food Network’s new show Bite Club, premiering September 6 and hosted by Tyler Florence, will air an episode featuring five Chicago chefs, the Tribune reports: Chris Pandel (Swift & Sons), Zoe Schor (Split-Rail), Brian Jupiter (Frontier), Alisha Elenz (mfk), and Diego Lopez Amat (Mercat a la Planxa).
