WHISK, the West Town restaurant known for a family-friendly brunch and its love for Parks and Recreation’s Ron Swanson, will debut its new Wrigleyville location tonight for dinner. They’ve been working since March converting the former Raw Bar & Grill at 3720 N. Clark Street. WHISK is bringing over its tasty smoked wings — the same ones served in West Town and the sibling location in Logan Square at Son of a Butcher by WHISK — as well as its customary burgers.
Chef/owners Rick and David Rodriguez have added some gourmet hot dogs to their selections. They’re not doing the typical Chicago-style dog. Instead, customers can try the “Slugger” (bacon jam, caramelized and pickled onions, chipotle mayo, cotija cheese), the “Dodger“ (garlic aioli, bacon bits, peppers, jalapeños, ketchup), the “Dirty Dog” (chili, potato chips, cheddar sauce, barbecue sauce), and the Cachorro (it means “puppy” in Spanish: guacamole, cream, pico de callo).
Letting the fresh air in! Who’s getting excited? . . . #whisk #chicagogram #wrigley #wrigleyfield #ronswanson...

The unique bar food could make WHISK a good post- or pre-game stop — they’ve got white truffle lobster french fries. Rodriguez is particular about his beer, so expect a selection of local craft selections.
This week, they’re only open for dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Eventually they’ll add brunch. Items include pork belly huevos rancheros, Cracker Jack pancakes with salted caramel, and tons of Benedicts.
But the big news on the brunch menu is an expansion into the Parks and Recreation’s universe. They’re doing a build-your-own waffle in honor of Leslie Knope, the ambitious TV character played by Amy Poehler.
Rodriguez may not be a Cubs fan — he roots for the White Sox — but his restaurants are friendly to the North Siders. If fans can’t take his word for it, they can take it from Cubs legend Kerry Wood. Just this week, the former pitcher stopped by at the West Town location. Check out the dinner menu below. WHISK Wrigleyville opens tonight.
WHISK Wrigleyville, 3720 N. Clark Street, (773) 360-8587, hours not posted yet.
That day day you find yourself cooking for Kerry Wood!! Big shoutout for stopping by and making Antonio’s (huge @cubs fan) day
