Lincoln Park’s Knife & Tine Cuts the Cord After Four Years

The restaurant offers throwback specials until it closes on June 10

After nearly four years in Lincoln Park, Knife & Tine has announced it will close next month. The restaurant features comfort foods and pastas at 1417 W. Fullerton Street, giving the area a more elegant option nestled close to DePaul University’s main campus. Management made the announcement via Facebook post and writing that they’ll offer throwback items and specials in the weeks before the June 10 shutter.

While not stating the specific reasons behind the decision, owners wrote they were proud of what they accomplished: “This was not a decision that we came to lightly. We wanted to create something spectacularly special in Chicago and we did. Now, as priorities in life continue to change, we are all looking forward to spending more time with our families.”

The restaurant contended with volatile market conditions and rebounded strong from a bit of a rocky start to fill a niche within the community. It became a go-to for private events. Fans have a month to make one last visit.
