Ashok Selvam is the editor of Eater Chicago and a native Chicagoan armed with more than two decades of award-winning journalism. Now covering the world of restaurants and food, his nut graphs are super nutty.

Last year, the Cubs and Levy debuted the Chef Series at Wrigley Field, where well-known Chicago chefs Stephanie Izard, Rick Bayless, Matthias Merges, Graham Elliot, and Jeff Mauro served fans special ballpark dishes only during select games days. The series continues this season from June 5 to August 29 with Izard, Bayless, Merges, and Elliot returning. Levy, the Cubs hospitality partner, have also added two new residencies this year: Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia/River Roast as well as Christine Cikowski and Josh Kulp of Honey Butter Fried Chicken.

Fancy Cubs fans can find amped-up items from these chefs at Sheffield Corner, a renovated space near right field. Check out the lineup and schedule below. Full menus will be available closer to when the residencies begin.

  • Izard, who’s teamed with Boka Restaurant Group on a trio of West Loop spots (Girl & the Goat, Little Goat, Duck Duck Goat), will be using goat in some of her food. All the Cubs reveal now is the items will feature “globally-inspired flavors” from June 5 to June 10.
  • Mantuano’s addition shouldn’t be a surprise. The Beard Award winner is planning to open a new restaurant with Cubs manager Joe Maddon at the plaza next to Wrigley Field now known as Gallagher Way. Mantuano will serve “modern Italian classics” during his stint from June 29 to July 8.
  • Bayless has created an empire devoted to Mexican food thanks to multiple restaurants including Topolobampo. He will serve — surprise — Mexican food from July 19 to July 26.
  • Merges, who worked at Charlie Trotter’s before starting Folkart Restaurant Management, is known for A10 in Hyde Park and Billy Sunday in Logan Square. He’s since opened Lucky Dorr, the craft beer perch at Gallagher Way, and Mordecai, a sleek ode to bourbon across the street from Wrigley at the Hotel Zachary. He’ll serve “global cuisine” from August 2 to August 5.
  • Cikowski and Kulp are among the most socially conscious chefs in Chicago as they’re champions of higher wages for restaurant workers and equal treatment. They run Honey Butter Fried Chicken in Avondale which grew out of the Sunder Dinner Club series. They also run’s TriBecca’s Cubano at Revival Food Hall in the Loop. They’ll serve fried chicken and sides at Wrigley from August 10 to August 15.
  • Elliott, known for his glasses and reality TV show appearances, is good friends with Merges and is collaborating with him at Gideon Sweet in the West Loop. He also curates the food vendor lineup for Lollapalooza every year. He’ll serve ”eclectic takes on baseball classics” from August 23 to 29.
