Patience looks to be a virtue for Chicago diners, as Brendan Sodikoff’s new sushi restaurant, Radio Anago, now has an official opening date. Sodikoff confirmed that Radio Anago will open on Tuesday at 226 W. Kinzie Street. Nestled on the same block as two other Sodikoff restaurants (Gilt Bar and Bavette’s Bar & Boeuf), Radio Anago presents a very personal project for the founder of Hogsalt Hospitality. Sodikoff was heavily involved in the design process.

Last month, Hogsalt opened Sawada Matcha, a Japanese-inspired tea and coffee shop, inside the space shared by Radio Anago. The coffee was a sequel to Sawada Coffee in the West Loop, inside the Green Street Smoked Meats/High Five Ramen space.

Sawada Matcha was kind of a preview, showcasing what will become a waiting area for the restaurant. The sushi is from chef Hari Chan, a Chicago industry vet who has worked with Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. He was also a chef/owner at Kaze Sushi in Roscoe Village.

Come back next week for more details.
