Wrigleyville Will Get a Boozy Bakery and Cocktail Bar Next Week

— Opening announcements for the many high-profile restaurants and bars in the Hotel Zachary across from Wrigley Field are coming fast and furious, and West Town Bakery & Tap now has an opening date too. The boozy sweets spot from The Fifty/50 Group will start serving cake-inspired cocktails, hooch milkshakes, and non-alcoholic cakeballs, doughnuts, and more on April 3, ownership revealed via Facebook and Instagram. — Stephanie Izard’s new cookbook “Gather & Graze” will also go on sale everywhere on April 3 and the goat queen will hold a launch party that evening at the Goose Island Barrel Warehouse at 603 W. Sacramento Boulevard at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the event, which cost $50 and include a copy of the book, food samples and drinks, are available here.

— “The Shining” popup Room 237 will hold its last two nights on March 30 and 31 at The Rookery at 2109 W. Chicago Avenue.

— Swanky acclaimed steakhouse Maple & Ash is unexpectedly planning an Arizona location in Scottsdale, the Phoenix Business Journal first reported. It’s scheduled to open in late 2018 or early 2019 and The Republic has more details.

— And finally, Sunda has gone all Frankenfood by creating a Chicago-style maki roll, Time Out Chicago reports. Staff at the Rockit Ranch Asian fusion restaurant in River North tops a spicy tuna roll with twists on Chicago-style hot dog fixings. It’ll be available from April 2-9 for $15.
