Feast All Eyes on What Phil Stefani and Family Will Feed Lincolnwood

Phil Stefani and family hope to upgrade the north suburban dining scene this week when on Thursday when they open Stefani Prime, an upscale restaurant serving steaks, seafood, and Italian food. Right off the Edens Expressway’s Cicero Avenue exit in Lincolnwood, this is Stefani’s first new suburban restaurant opening in 20 years. The family’s been busy in the city over the last three years with new restaurants including MAD Social in the West Loop, Bar Cargo in River North, and various Broken English Taco Pubs across Chicago.

Phil, his wife Karen, along with children Gina and Anthony, are all collaborating on this restaurant. Reservations are live today via OpenTable. Stefani Prime’s formula for success is simple at 6755 N. Cicero Avenue (where Kow Kow Chinese restaurant stood for 65 years). They’re giving the suburbs a restaurant worthy of the Chicago’s bustling dining scene and putting their names on the door in hope of breeding credibility. The family lives close by and members plan to be on premises. Recognizing loyal customers will go a long way, Phil Stefani said: “This will be the ideal place where the city meets the suburbs,” he added.

The steaks will come from Meats by Linz, but the restaurant’s more than a steakhouse. The menu will eventually have rotating daily and weekly specials. There’s also a wine list of more than 150 selections. Check out the menu and food photos below. Stefani Prime opens on Thursday in Lincolnwood.
