Before 2017, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises had zero restaurants in the West Loop and Fulton Market, one of the trendiest areas for restaurants in Chicago and in America. Chicago’s largest restaurant group rectified that when it opened a Beatrix. They’re also opening a Ramen-san, the second location of their Japanese noodle spot, later this year. But they’ll stake another claim to the area when they open a third-floor restaurant later this year in the same building as Beatrix.
The new restaurant will have a different address than Beatrix at 302 N. Green Street — at the Northwest corner of Fulton Market and Green. It neighbors the newly opened Punch Bowl Social. An LEYE rep couldn’t share much of the plans. They’re still deciding what will occupy the space, which looks to be fully built out. Perhaps that makes one of LEYE’s existing concepts a good match. The company could conceivably plug in a Ema, Bub City, or another restaurant from its vast portfolio of restaurants.
Those who walk down Green Street and Fulton Market will notice a rooftop structure. Fulton Market offers unique views of the city’s skyline, and it appears LEYE want to give diners a glimpse. However, the company may reserve the rooftop for private events; the company has applied for a caterer’s liquor license for the address.
The company isn’t ready to spill on the details, so check back later for more information.
