Fans of It’s Always in Sunny in Philadelphia should mark those calendars: Replay Lincoln Park is throwing a pop-up next month in honor of the FX comedy that stars Danny DeVito and Charlie Day. The It’s Always Sunny at Replay Lincoln Park: A St. Pat’s Day Pop-Up starts on March 9 and goes through March 17 at Replay, 2833 N. Sheffield Avenue. The arcade bar will hope to imitate Paddy’s Pub, the dive bar where much of the TV show takes place.
The TV show has endeared itself to fans for its irreverent sense of humor over 12 seasons. This is an unofficial pop-up, but Replay is hoping to quench fans’ thirsts with a drink list full of references. There’s “Fight Milk (for bodyguards, by bodyguards)” (vanilla vodka, creme de cacao, cold brew coffee and vanilla cream), “Wolf Cola” (whisky with a pop-up exclusive cola), and Dee’s Cosmopolitan (a drink that’s ideal for discussing bleached body parts).
Philadelphians are already flying high after the Eagles’ Super Bowl win, and Replay will continue to cater to them by serving Philly-style cheesesteaks. A rep said there will also be an interactive portion where customers can pretend they’re “The Gang” and take a photo doing an activity. “The Gang” was a popular prefix for many episode titles including “The Gang Gets Racist” and “The Gang Cracks the Liberty Bell.”
The pop-up ends on St. Patrick’s day. Replay has also thrown unofficial pop-ups from Rick and Morty and The Simpsons.
