One of Chicago’s tallest buildings now has a popular burrito restaurant

Mag Mile tourists can eat some popular burritos and tacos inside one of the tallest buildings in the city. New York-based chain Dos Toros opens its Hancock Center restaurant today with $1 entrees from 11:15 a.m. until 2:15 p.m., and again from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. Take a peek inside the fourth Dos Toros in Chicago below.

A Lakeview spot will hold Seinfeld-themed dinners

Attendees at a series of dinners and cooking classes early next year will be able to eat big salads, soups with muffin tops, and more food and drink from one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. Four Seinfeld pop-up dinners will be held in February at Get in the Kitchen at 3617 N. Broadway Street in Lakeview, Block Club first reported, adding to the barrage of pop culture-themed pop-up events in Chicago. $79 tickets and more menu details are available here.

Hopcat to change the name of its “crack fries”

Popular Michigan-based craft beer bar and restaurant chain Hopcat, which has one Chicago location in Lincoln Park, will change the name of its hugely popular “crack fries” in January. “Our vision for creating an inclusive company that supports our communities, shows love for our team and best serves our guests is not compatible with the continued use of the Crack Fries name,” reads a statement on Hopcat’s website. An app reveals Chicago’s quietest restaurants

As customers around the country bemoan the perceived loudness of more and more newer restaurants, an app has put together a list of the 20 quietest spots in Chicago based on decibel level. They include Spiaggia, Acanto, Joys Noodle and Rice, and Red Lion Pub. Crain’s has more.
