The owners of Concrete Cowboy, the clubby sports bar that arrived in Chicago in spring 2017, have plans for another spot in River North. Management’s taken over the former Patron’s Hacienda space at 316 W. Erie Street to open a Clutch, of which they already have locations in Dallas and Houston. They’ve put up a Facebook page with a rendering of the space in Chicago.
The Dallas location opened in 2016, and the Houston bar opened in 2017. It’s one of those spots where they’ll show sports during the day and move the furniture to create a dance floor at night. There’s bottle service and plenty of TVs.
For food, Clutch serves brunch items like cinnamon roll pancakes and breakfast tacos. There’s also a make-your-own mimosa option. Flatbreads, burgers, and typical pub fare make up the dinner menu. There are also spiked milkshakes.
Football fans may have heard of the Dallas location as it was the where Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliot was involved in a late-night incident.
This Clutch isn’t to be confused with a shuttered West Town bar by the same name. Concrete Cowboy management hasn’t returned requests for comment on the Chicago location, so stay tuned for any forthcoming details.
