42 Grams is shuttered, but the extraordinary story behind the two-Michelin-starred BYO restaurant will be immortalized in a new documentary film. Appropriately titled 42 Grams, the film, produced by Gunpowder & Sky, “follows (chef) Jake (Bickelhaupt) developing menus, hiring and firing staff, and extraordinarily, the awarding of two Michelin stars.” Check out the trailer below for the film that’ll be released on TVOD on Nov. 17.

— Crowds of people lined up at the new Nando’s Peri-Peri at 117 E. Lake St. and Michigan Avenue yesterday to see Grammy Award-winning local hip-hop artist Chance The Rapper grill chicken for charity. Check out a photo of Chance on the grill below, who told Fox32 that “if it involves cooking and helping the kids, I’m down.”

Pink Squirrel, the forthcoming “Midwestern cocktail lounge” in Logan Square next to Deadbolt, from barman Dustin Drankiewicz and friends, will have a fun twist — a two-lane bowling alley. DNAinfo first noticed the city permit for the bowling lanes at the new bar with ice cream drinks and other retro cocktails, which Drankiewicz previously hinted at by saying it would have “an amusement factor” and recounting that his father was a professional bowler. It could open this fall.

— A salmonella outbreak at a far South Side barbecue restaurant caused six people to be hospitalized and 14 to be sick over Labor Day weekend, according to multiple reports. Best BBQ, 1648 W. 115th St., shut down voluntarily following the outbreak.

— And finally, the Brooklyn Brewery Beer Mansion event (of which Eater is the official media partner of) announced its full food lineup for the Sept. 22 and 23 Chicago extravaganza. Expect Indian food from Bombay Wraps on Sept. 22, Taco in a Bag’s cheeseburger nachos and “Mike Rib Deluxe” on Sept. 23, and Aloha Poke bowls and Budlong Hot Chicken tenders on both days. And look for a “Garden of Eatin’ Chip Wall” and a “McClure’s Extreme Bloody Mary Bar” too in addition to five themed tasting rooms from the acclaimed New York-based beer brand. More information is right here.
