Unexpected high summer temps showed up over the weekend as Chicago Gourmet once again united chefs and restaurateurs with their adoring public at Millennium Park. The food festival returned for its 10th year, combining cooking demonstrations with food from a smattering of talented Chicago festivals and an open bar featuring rare-to-find wine and spirits.

The show kicked off on Friday night at the annual Hamburger Hop at the Harris Theater Rooftop. Read about the winners here. Besides Saturday and Sunday’s main festival sessions, there were upwards of 15 additional events held over the weekend. Chefs regularly too busy at their own restaurants got a rare chance to mingle with colleagues. Attendees posed for photos with their favorite chefs, sommeliers, and bartenders and asked them for cooking and mixology tips.

Check out images from the weekend below. And mark those calendars: Next year’s event will take place on Sept. 28 through Sept. 30 at Millennium Park.
