The new restaurant at LondonHouse hotel is opening tonight. Land & Lake Kitchen is the latest from LM Restaurant Group (Troquet, Bistronomic). They’ll debut with dinner and add breakfast service on Wednesday and weekend brunch on Saturday, Aug. 19.
The space includes a 65-seat patio which will open on Wednesday. Executive chef Tim Davidson, who fonrerlly was in charge of Troquet in River North, has created a menu featuring a buttermilk fried Amish chicken, a double-stacked burger (with Thousand Island Dressing, it sounds like an amped-up Big Mac), and beer-battered walleye.
We've got a Northwoods fish fry on the brain.. what about you?

Davidson’s into local ingredients. No, he’s really into local ingredients: The lox for the breakfast bagel is cured with Malört, the legendary bitter local liquor. There’s eight signature cocktails, highlighted by the “Summer Fields” (gin, raspberries, lavender, mint). A handful of local wine and beer selections will also cure parched palettes.
Take at the menus below. Land & Lake Kitchen debuts at 5 p.m. tonight at LondonHouse’s ground floor.
Land & Lake Kitchen, 81 E. Wacker Dr., hours not posted yet.
