Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises is bringing a spinoff of their popular Beatrix restaurant to The Loop later this summer. Beatrix Market, a grab-and-go concept that debuted inside the full-service location in Streeterville, is coming to 155 N. Wacker Drive, just south of the Chicago River. The Loop location will feature additional menu items and also a coffee bar.

Customers will be able to grab items from a self-serve bar with soups, salads, and other hot food items. LEYE will also use the downtown location to cater office gatherings.

Lettuce also brought the market concept to Fulton Market when it opened the third full-service Beatrix in May. There it was dubbed as Bea’s; the name is in giant letters above an entrance. LEYE will eventually drop that name and also brand that portion of the space as a Beatrix Market, a rep said.

The new location is LEYE’s first stand-alone Beatrix Market, a fascinating move as Rich Melman’s company diversifies with more casual restaurants.
