After 10 months, Bangers & Lace in Roscoe Village is closing. Owner Jason Freiman confirms that the craft beer and sausage-centric bar and restaurant will shutter after service on Sunday evening at 1851 W. Addison St. Footman Hospitality’s two other Bangers & Lace locations, the original in Wicker Park and another in suburban Evanston, are unaffected.

Freiman says Footman will hang onto the space and reconcept. “We will begin remodeling the space, which will bring Roscoe Village a more family friendly neighborhood concept in the fall of 2017,” Freiman wrote in an email.

The Roscoe Village location opened just 10 months ago, in September 2016. It has struggled to maintain occupancy despite the efforts of a talented many. The space has previously housed multiple restaurants, most notably Endgrain and Terragusto. The restaurant is in a purely residential area along Addison until traffic approaches Wrigley Field to the east.

Stay tuned for more information on what’s coming there next, as Freiman promises “more details on the new concept when they are available.”
