The next few months promise to be busy ones for the team behind The Hampton Social. Today, they reveal plans for a Streeterville incarnation, which they aim to open in the early fall at 164 E. Grand Ave. This comes hot on the heels of the news of a 9,000-square-foot suburban version of the hammock-and-rose filled River North original, slated to open by late summer in Burr Ridge.
So to recap: You’ll soon be living in a world with three Hampton Socials in it.
The Streeterville location will be in the former Chef’s Burger Bistro space. Brad Parker, founder of the Parker Restaurant Group —which is also behind Wicker Park’s Mahalo— says he plans a major remodel. His team will enclose the ground-floor patio and add a second-floor terrace to create a total of 3,000 square feet of prime rosé-drinking/oyster-slurping space just steps from Michigan Avenue.

This third location will stay true to the original’s breezy summer-in-the Hamptons look-and-feel: Adirondack chairs, white-washed tables, and hammocks in the lounge. Its seafood-heavy menu will still feature lobster rolls, oysters and wood-fired pizza. And for fans of its popular frosé, you’re in luck: Bartenders will serve the frozen pink wine drink here as well. Stay tuned for more updates.
