— Now open in Logan Square: a bar that’s themed on Chicago summer block parties. Bottle Rocket is the new iteration inside the rotating popup space next to Emporium Logan Square that previously housed Branca Bar and Surf. The space, which held a grand opening party last night, now includes telephone poles, street sweeping signs, Old Style (sales of which go to Chicago Fire Department’s charities), Malort, boozy slushies, local craft beers, and hot dogs and sausages, Time Out Chicago reports. It’ll be open through the end of July. Check out a photo of the “The Broken Rose” — a slushie with rosé, Revolution Rosa beer, Aperol, and Rare Tea Cellars hibiscus tea syrup — below.
— Kicking off this weekend: a poke brunch. FireFin Poke Shop’s Wicker Park location is taking a crack at a Hawaiian-themed weekend daytime meal, which includes a “Spam stack” and Hawaiian French toast. All four brunch dishes, which are available Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 1415 N. Milwaukee Ave., cost between $6.95 and $9.95. Check out a photo of them and the menu below.
