Fulton Market is about to get a double-shot of beef next week, as Shake Shack will open its third Chicago location on Wednesday. The Tribune reported that the newest location, 185 N. Morgan St. in Fulton Market, should have more of an industrial feel. Danny Meyer’s New York-based fast-food chain, lauded for its burgers and shakes, debuted in 2014 in Chicago with its River North location.
Here’s a sneak peek inside the space:

Shake Shack will open in Fulton Market on the same day Kuma’s Corner opens its new location just a five-minute walk from Shake Shack. Like Shake Shack, this is Kuma’s third Chicago location. The two provide a contrast in burger styles: Shake Shack is a lesson in simplicity with a thin, griddled burger often double stacked; while Kuma’s thrives on excess with thick patties loaded with toppings. Shake Shack also has a location on the ground floor of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel and suburban post in Skokie at the Old Orchard Shopping Center.
A message to Shake Shack reps wasn’t immediately returned. Check back for updates if they share additional info.
