Randolph Street’s hot new wine bar, The Lunatic, The Lover & The Poet finally opened last month, but the team hasn’t uncorked their full potential. Starting on Thursday, they’ll begin weekday lunch service, and they’re not shying away from encouraging guests to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail with their afternoon meal. Lunch isn’t the only thing new, as owner Tom Powers said LLP will open up the top level of their three-level restaurant on May 1.

The lunch menu will be offered from 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. There’s new items that aren’t offered during dinner, such as a grilled cheese (brie, proscuitto, pear compote in between brioche). There’s also several cheese options optimal for wine pairings.

It’s been a long wait for West Loopers, as the wine bar/restaurant’s opening had been delayed. Only the first floor and basement level has been open to the public since the wine bar/restaurant opened. The second level features a nice few of passersby on Randolph and it’s something to look forward to next month.

Meanwhile, check out the full lunch menu below.
