It’s been almost three years since DMK Restaurants opened Henry’s in River North, the group’s first foray into the neighborhood. Now Michael Kornick and David Morton appear poised to open another restaurant in the area. A pair of ads for an executive chef’s job placed earlier this week have confirmed the existence of an upcoming restaurant from the people behind DMK Burger Bar, Fish Bar, and Ada Street.

Kornick wasn’t quite ready to share details about the restaurant. The address and name are unknown. The listings don’t disclose much, either. It’s still big news for one of Chicago’s more reputable restaurant groups. Per the ad, DMK is searching for a chef to work at “a three meal period operation with state of the art banquet space in River North.” Sounds suspiciously like a hotel space, but obviously Kornick hasn’t divulged, and neither has a DMK spokeswoman.

DMK has certainly been busy as they gear up to open their first coffee shop. Werewolf Coffee should open by the end of the month over at 1765 N. Elston Ave.
