Big news for doughnut fans—Firecakes Donuts has a new location in Oak Park. The new donut spot opened today at 104 N. Maple Avenue. The new spot has a few new menu items, including a fried chicken sandwich and a maple bacon slider with fried chicken. The news of the new location comes with the announcement of two more locations in the works — one at 205 W. Wacker Drive in conjunction with the Wells Street Market food hall and one at the United Center. The new location at 205 W. Wacker Drive doesn’t come as a surprise, since Fox is consulting on the food hall.
The timeline isn’t set for the two new locations, but fried chicken is to come to the Lincoln Park location in Spring 2018. Owner Jonathon Fox said in a press release, “we want to keep the brand interesting and a big part of that is introducing new ways to enjoy donuts.”
Guests at the Oak Park location will get to enjoy Firecakes favorites in addition to the new fried chicken menu, including the buttermilk old fashioned, Tahitian vanilla doughnut, fresh-squeezed juices, and coffee from La Colombe. Check out the fried chicken menu below, only available for now at the Oak Park location.
Firecakes Donuts, 104 N. Maple Avenue, open 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
