The sixth location of Furious Spoon will open its doors at 800 W. Belmont Avenue on Wednesday, December 6 at 6 p.m. The restaurant will kick off its opening with a ribbon ceremony at 5 p.m. and then serve the first 100 guests starting at 6 p.m. a free bowl of ramen.
The prolific chain’s new location will feel similar to other locations, with caged lighting, graffiti on the walls, and hip hop beats. The menu will reflect other locations, with five different types of ramen (Furious ramen, shoyu, chicken shio, vegetarian and shrimp curry), beer, cocktails, and sake.
This location joins the chain’s Wicker Park, Logan Square, Evanston, Revival Food Hall, and Pilsen locations; a seventh location in West Loop is also in the works. This Lakeview location will feature its own exclusive menu item, a sweet chili shrimp bowl with cabbage, soy sauce and scallions. Unfortunately, poke lovers will not be able to pick up poke at the Lakeview location, but with Aloha Poke steps away, poke lovers need not fret.
