It’s been more than a year since Reza’s—the Persian stalwart that continues to operate in Andersonville and Oak Brook—closed their massive location on Ontario Street. However, a liquor license application filed on Monday shows there’s plans for the space — courtesy of the owners of Chicago Q, the upscale Gold Coast barbecue restaurant. The application lists Country Q as the name of the new restaurant that’s coming to the space at 432 W. Ontario St.

The owner on the application is Fred Latsko, a prominent Chicago developer who’s behind Ideology Entertainment, the hospitality group that includes Chicago Q, cigar lounge Biggs, Art Smith’s Blue Door Kitchen & Garden and La Storia Ristorante. All those spots share the same Gold Coast corner at Dearborn and Elm streets.

Ideology also runs Blue Door Farm Stand in Lincoln Park. The lunch and breakfast concept has a complicated history, as the restaurant had been closed as they prepped to move a new space. But Blue Door never opened at that new space at 2010 N. Halsted St. Instead, they opened a temporary location nearby at 711 W. Armitage Ave. However, there has been some movement at the Halsted space, as the construction signs have come down.

An Ideology spokeswoman said more information should be available later today. Come back this afternoon for any updates.
