Fans of the Bulls and Blackhawks began enjoying Big Star’s tacos last season, as One Off Hospitality licensed their brand to build a mini-restaurant at the United Center. Could Cubs fans also feel the love? Plans aren’t finalized, but One Off is leaning toward putting a Big Star in Wrigleyville, part of the Hotel Zachary development, according to the Tribune.
One Off has two floors and 8,000 square feet with room for 400 seats inside the Hotel Zachary. The doesn’t include an outdoor cafe. One Off’s Paul Kahan, already a huge Blackhawks fan, told the Trib having a shot of tequila and a taco would be dream come true. Kahan is also a lifelong Cubs fan.
While Cubs fans have tacos and the playoffs to look forward to, at least White Sox fans have elotes at Sox Park. Not sure what Bears fans at Soldier Field can look forward to, because the season looks bleak.
