LAKEVIEW— Q-BBQ is permanently closed at 714 W. Diversey Parkway, a restaurant rep confirmed. A sign on the door read that it was only a temporary shutter due to building repairs, but they won’t be reopen. The rep said it had nothing to do with business—sales were strong. They’ll look for a new location in Chicago, as they have bigger expansion plans in the coming year.
LAKEVIEW— After 13 years of business, Los Caminos De Michoacan is closing at 3948 N. Sheridan Road, according to DNAinfo. They’re moving over to the Back of The Yards to 4933 S. Ashland Ave.
LAKEVIEW— Falafill, the fast-casual falafel and salad restaurant has closed after six years at 3202 N. Broadway St. Earlier this year, a second location closed in The Loop. They posted signs on the doors thanking customers.
ROGERS PARK— The area around Hard Water Bar at 7545 N. Clark St. isn’t apparently conducive to a late-night liquor license. DNAinfo reported that the bar and grill is closing after a spat of criminal violence.
SOUTH LOOP— That space by the CTA’s Roosevelt "L" stop is once more vacant. Chopsticks has closed at 28 E. Roosevelt Road, according to Sloopin. At least they won’t be around Soldier Field for the miserable Bears season.
