McDonald's gained traction with its all-day breakfast, and soon River North eaters will have a new restaurant where they can eat brunch every day. Hutch American Cafe, the second location of the popular Lakeview restaurant Hutch American Bistro, is heading to the former Robust Coffee Lounge space at 416 W. Ontario St. Owner Marc Wuenschel is shooting for a mid-September opening two blocks east of the Chicago River.
Wuenschel and team will serve a variety of brunch, lunch, and kids' dishes at the new daytime-only restaurant, which will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Also expect a brunch-centric cocktail menu with Bloody Marys, mimosas and the like every day, as well as beer and wine. Wuenschel is also planning to offer delivery and catering for the offices and residents nearby. Check out the original Hutch's brunch menu for an idea of what they serve up north, which opened in 2013, and prepare to brunch every day next month.
