WICKER PARK— The Wicker Park spinoff of The Publican has a chef du cuisine. A.J. Walker, who held the same post at the original location on Fulton Market, moves to Milwaukee Avenue and Publican Anker. The Tribune reported that Publican Quality Meats’ Joseph Frietze will take Walker's place.
GOLD COAST—After just coming aboard in March, longtime lauded barman Adam Seger is no longer at swanky steak hotspot Maple & Ash—and hasn't been for "some time," according to reps and management. New manager Kiel Schelich spearheaded the cocktail menu at the revamped downstairs bar Eight Bar & Patio.
MAGNIFICENT MILE— Longtime River North restaurant Lawry’s The Prime Rib has hired Leonard Delgado as the steakhouse’s new executive chef, according to a news release. He comes over from the Landry’s in Kansas City and a stint at the Hard Rock Cafe where he served as executive chef.
WICKER PARK— Opening Queen Mary bar manager Mony Bunni has exited Heisler's buzzy sailor-inspired saloon on Division Street. She’s moving downtown to Boleo, as the imminently-opening South American restaurant and rooftop bar inside The Kimpton Gray Hotel is stockpiling talent. She'll be a bartender there. Meanwhile, Queen Mary’s general manager Dan Smith will assume Bunni’s roles in Wicker Park.
